Not your typical mom and baby group
Imagine this: you pack up the diaper bag, grab your coffee, secure the baby in their car seat, and then hit the road! You listen to your favourite podcast as you make your way to Forager’s Farms, a beautiful regenerative and sustainable farm, steeped in grassroots community, tucked away in the rolling hills of Northumberland County. Just knowing what awaits you when you get you there brings you so much peace, and, with every passing minute, your nervous system feels more and more at ease. You’re excited to connect with other like-minded women and finally have an intentional, and deeply meaningful, adult conversation.
It’s your favourite day of the week!
You arrive, breathe in the fresh air, take in the view, and soak in the natural surroundings. Babies coo, and chickens cluck in the background, and you make your way to the group of other moms.
I bring you a smile and a warm cup of tea while we settle you and your baby into the circle on a bed of shared blankets. One-by-one, the rest of the moms and babies join our group. Tea and snacks and dehydrated yogurt blobs are passed around and you feel like you are exactly where you need to be.
Welcome to the Radical Mother Social Club.
You don’t have to do this alone.
Most mothers feel as if they’re drowning. Everyone asks, “How’s the baby?” You love talking about your baby, but you wish, for just once, someone would ask you “how are you doing?”. As mothers, we are experts at holding it all together, even when we’re feeling scared, confused, and lonely AF,which means we end up verbal diarrhea-ing our trauma and/or, our baby’s latest milestone on random strangers.
Turns out, our village didn’t come built in. And those women you thought might be in your corner, able to support you in your new chapter in life, they’re stretched thin too.
This is exactly why I created the Radical Mother Social Club. This is an intentional and devoted time to hop off the hamster wheel of instagram comparison, facebook mom groups, and just making it through the next 5 hours, 5 minutes, 5 seconds in survival mode.
I am not exaggerating when I say this club will change your life.
“Everyone needs community, especially postpartum! You’ll instantly feel at ease and comforted by Nessa. I now have a community of women to turn to and I feel supported and so much stronger as a mom.”
—Erin Bodashefsky OG Radical Mom & Co-Owner of Foragers Farm
“I remember one session that brought me to tears.
We read aloud the good we saw in the other women we were paired with. We’d only known each other for a few weeks, but hearing those kind words from my fellow radical mom, touched my heart in ways that solidified that I was amongst the most beautiful and caring women. These are special souls. I felt a shift that day - a sense of pride being among them.
Now I have a group of friends I can call on for anything - a quick reply to a mom question, a different opinion, a helpful resource, and some honest feedback. There is nothing I am unable to face with these wise women in my world!”
—Becky, OG Radical Mom

What Happens Each Week
This isn’t a drop-in, surface level gathering. This is a guided, intentional experience that unfolds each week, while still leaving room for real life, real emotions, and real connection.
Here’s our rhythm:
Opening Circle: we gather and gently check in with a cup of tea:
what felt like a win this week?
What changed?
What felt challenging?
Do you want support, or just feel heard?
This is a practice in being seen and seeing others - without fixing., without interrupting, without advice dumping. Just real friendship and sisterhood.
Guided Support + Conversation
If one of our mamas would like some problem solving and advice, I’ll gently facilitate conversation to keep us focused, grounded and supportive. We will honour each woman’s lived experience and know that she is on her own path.
Reflective Journaling
Each week, I introduce a theme rooted in the real lived experience of motherhood - the things no one talks about!
You’ll spend 5-10 minutes reflecting on our topic and your current season of motherhood.
Then, if you feel called, you share.
This is where the depth happens.
Integration + Connection
We close our journals, pack up the baby toys and blankets, pop the journals back in the journal bin and close our circle as we prepare for movement.
Nature Walk
We take a gentle 10-15 minute walk on the land. Babies in arms, or baby carriers (I have two I can lend in a pinch). This is where nature holds us as we soften, integrations happen, conversations continue and we move any stagnant energy out of bodies.
Closing + Optional Social Time
We close our session with gratitude back where we started and from there you are welcome to:
Say goodbye
Stay and socialize
Have an impromptu picnic
Browse the farm store (if it’s open, tbd)
The 9 Week Journey
While each session is intuitively guided, we often explore themes like:
Why didn’t none tell me about this ?
Identity shifts and loss of self
Relationships, partnerships, and support
Loneliness and unmet expectations
The kind of mother you want to be
How amazing and weird and wonderful motherhood is!
What makes it different (and so magical!)
01 / Enough time for meaningful connection
There’s NEVER enough time when you’re connecting with other women, but we have intentionally curated a 1.5hr experience over a rushed 45 minute quickie. Please relax, connect, and sink in.
02 / This is about YOU!
What’s the saying, always about the baby, never the mom? It’s about time someone gave a hoot about YOU! We love babies too, but this club is strictly for moms.
03 / Truly Social
No guest speaker, no rigid schedule, just real connection, reflection, and movement in nature and with like-minded ladies!
What to bring:
We run rain or shine! Aa big part of this experience is being in nature, so whatever makes you and baby comfortable for the elements.
-
Dress in layers for Canadian weather based on the day of. I never trust the weather channel, so my best advice is to step outside, and go from there.
We are on a working farm so keep that in mind. Boots in muddy season, walking shoes or sandals. Sun protection, etc.
-
Purse, wallet, keys, phone
Yoga mat
Baby blanket and diaper bag with all the fiings
Water bottle
Snacks for you and baby
*Shared snack is optional
-
Journal
Herbal Tea
Light snacks
Your Questions, Answered
-
Yes. Always.
You are welcome to openly breastfeed, bottle feed, soothe, change, and care for your baby in whatever way feels right to you. This space is designed to feel natural, not restrictive.
-
Yes… with awareness.
Older children are welcome, but it can be harder to stay present in the circle while also tending to them. This space is primarily designed with babies in mind.
If you feel you can balance both, or you need help balancing both and have no other choice (been there!) you’re absolutely welcome.
