Happy Samhain! ( s o w - i n ) 🍁
Depending on where you come from and how you practice, this day may hold different meaning for you. If we look at it from a more traditional pagan perspective, Samhain (pronounced Sow-in in Gaelic), marks the end of the Harvest season. If you’re from Ontario, where we get some pretty extreme versions of Spring, Summer. Fall, Winter, this celebration may feel exceptionally appropriate! It marks the beginning of winter, or the darker half of the year. Canadians - let’s vow together to up our vitamin D supplements!
As we dive into the witchier parts of this holiday, Samhain is an incredibly magical time because the veil is so thin! This is why we celebrate magical creatures, ghosts, and other amazing characters that have come and gone leaving their mark on our life in one way or another. We believe that perhaps, on this night, some of these magical creatures may walk amoung us!
OoOOoOoohh! Love it!
However you celebrate, I hope you take a min to smell the fresh crisp air, take in any 🍁 falling or laying on your path, thank the season of Fall for all the magic it brings into our lives and let it wash over you as we all prepare for a lonnngggg cozy winter.
Stay safe loves!
