Elderberry Syrup Workshop
When did we stop knowing how to care for a simple cold at home?
Join me for a Radical Remedy Workshop: Elderberry Syrup
In his hands-on, homesteading-inspired workshop where you’ll learn how to make your own elderberry syrup, a traditional, time-tested remedy to support respiratory health and immune function for the whole family.
Led by myself, Nessa Hayes Clinical Herbalist and Doula, founder of Radical Mother Wellness, this workshop is about more than just making syrup. It’s about returning to skills that were once common, learning how to work with plants as medicine, and building confidence in caring for yourself and your family at home using ingredients that are necessary and accessible here in Ontario.
This is a make and take workshop so not only will you learn how to make your own syrup, you get to take home the recipe and a jar of what we create!
How I walk with you through it all…
Inside the workshop, we’ll explore:
How elderberry syrup works and when to use it
A focused herbal talk on our respiratory allies like mullein, elderberry, and other supportive herbs that you can find in your own backyard
Dosage, safety, and how to use it across ages
Optional ingredients and how to customize your syrup for your family
The foundations of syrup making so you can recreate this with other herbs
Storage and shelf life
